LED Light Box Quality Control

LED light box quality control for B2B projects: specification review, frame checks, electrical function, illumination, graphic fit, outdoor requirements and packing verification.

Quality control at BrandMateDisplay is organized around the actual product and order requirements. We avoid using “high quality” as a substitute for inspection criteria. Buyers should know what is checked, when it is checked and which items require project-specific confirmation.

LED light box quality control and inspection record

1. Specification Review Before Production

The first QC step is preventing ambiguity. Size, configuration, graphic, installation, electrical requirement, destination and any compliance requirement should be clarified before production.

2. Material / Component Check

Incoming materials and components are checked against the applicable order or approved configuration. The exact checklist differs by product; it may include frame material/finish, graphic/face material, LED components, driver/power supply and accessories.

3. Frame Dimension & Workmanship

  • Overall dimensions against drawing
  • Frame joints and connector fit
  • Visible finish and surface condition
  • Mounting points / accessories where applicable

4. Electrical & Power-On Review

For illuminated products, electrical configuration is checked for the quoted system. Destination voltage, driver/power supply, wiring and basic power-on function should match the approved order information.

5. Illumination / Visual Review

Visible dark areas, hotspots and edge shadowing are reviewed with the final face or graphic where practical. If a buyer requires a quantitative brightness or uniformity acceptance method, it should be defined in the project specification before production.

6. CCT / CRI / Optical Requirements

These values are not generalized across every product. If a retail or brand project requires a specific CCT, CRI or optical target, add it to the RFQ and drawing/specification so it can be confirmed for the quoted model.

7. Graphic / Face Fit

SEG fabric is checked for fit and tension; rigid or formed faces are checked for dimensions, seating and visible appearance. Artwork orientation and revision should match the approved files.

8. Outdoor Product Checks

Outdoor orders require project-specific review of the stated protection requirement, enclosure/joints, cable entry, electrical protection, mounting components and any required IP documentation. We do not treat one outdoor rating as automatically applicable to every SKU.

9. Trade Show / Repeat-Use Checks

  • Section and connector completeness
  • Part identification where used
  • Graphic orientation / fit
  • Power components for illuminated modules
  • Transport case / carton contents
  • Spare parts included when specified

10. Final Appearance Check

Before packing, the product is reviewed for visible workmanship, graphic presentation, accessory completeness and overall condition according to the order.

11. Packing Verification

QC does not end when the light turns on. The packing team confirms that the product, power components, mounting accessories, spare parts and labels match the packing list before shipment.

12. Buyer-Specified Inspection

If your company or project has its own inspection checklist, send it before order confirmation. We can review whether the requested checks can be incorporated into the production/QC plan.

13. Certifications & Documents

Certification claims should be SKU-specific. Tell us which market and document is required—such as CE, UL/ETL-related component documentation, RoHS or other project requirements—so the applicable scope can be verified before ordering.

14. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

If an item does not meet the approved specification, it should be identified before shipment and corrected or reworked where appropriate. The goal is to prevent known issues from being hidden by a generic “pass” statement.

15. What Buyers Should Put in the QC Requirement

  • Drawing / approved size
  • Visual acceptance requirements
  • Electrical / voltage requirement
  • CCT / CRI / brightness-uniformity requirement if critical
  • Outdoor/IP requirement if applicable
  • Packing / labeling requirement
  • Any third-party or customer inspection checklist

QC FAQ

Do you apply the same QC standard to every product?

No. Core checks are consistent, but product-specific criteria differ between SEG light boxes, outdoor signage and trade show systems.

Can buyers provide their own inspection checklist?

Yes. Send it before order confirmation so the requirements can be reviewed.

Do all products have the same certifications?

No. Documentation must be confirmed for the exact product/configuration and destination.
