Event Tent Capacity by Guest Count: The Method

Event tent capacity by guest count: per-person areas by seating style, named blocks for extras, and a capacity table that shows its assumptions.

Event tent capacity goes wrong because the web’s charts answer different questions: standing, seated dinner and seated plus dance floor are three different tents. This page gives the method that shows its assumptions.

The Per-Person Method

  • Standing reception: 0.5-0.7 sq m per guest.
  • Seated dinner: 1.1-1.4 sq m per guest.
  • Add named blocks: bar, buffet, DJ, dance floor each takes a stated area.
  • Total the floor, then check the span.
  • Check eave height: 2.5-3.0 m on larger spans.

Common Questions Buyers Ask

How big for 100 seated guests?
Roughly 110-140 sq m for the seated plan; 120-200 sq m with dance floor.

How much for a dance floor?
A 2×2 m to 4×4 m block, plus surrounding space. On 100 guests it moves the plan up a span.

Why Buyers Work With BrandMate Display

  • Sketch-to-order workflow. Blocks drawn before the quote, not after the deposit.
  • Gutter-connected spans. Tents grow with the guest list.
  • Eave height options. Linings and rigs fit on larger spans.
  • Site footprint check. Clearances confirmed with the drawing.
  • Transparent assumptions. The capacity table shows its per-person basis.
  • One contact. The planner who drew the sketch answers the sizing question.

We will reply within 2 hours.
